HSS Saw Blades
A bright saw blade does not have any surface treatment. It is ideal for cutting non-ferrous metals such as brass, aluminium and so on.
A steam treated saw blade has a Ferric Oxide surface coating for a longer blade life. It is mainly used for cutting steel on manual and semi-automatic sawing machines.
Below are details behind our proprietary coated saw blades. EC3000 Blades are a good way to get started using a coated product. EC blades offer an excellant price / performance ratio. Speeds and blade life over general steam treated blades is expected to yield immediate efficiency gains. If you are an advanced user with a high production application, we suggest looking into our Performance, Power, and Supreme coatings.
