| OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When mounting the saw blade make certain that all surfaces are clean and free of nicks and burrs, also that all chips and all foreign material have been removed. The saw blade should be clamped securely to the arbor and the backlash in the drive pins taken out in a direction opposite to that of the saw rotation. This can be accomplished by putting slight pressure with hand against the face of the tooth as the blade is being clamped down. The feed on a hydraulically operated machine should be properly adjusted prior to cutting any stock. The cutting time can be deter-mined by timing the blade travel through its cycle.
Use a high quality coolant.
After a saw blade has been resharpened, it should be visually inspected prior to installation to be certain that all rounded corners have been squared off and any excess grinding burr has been removed. When making the first cut with a resharpened blade, the blade should be fed into the cut at a slower than normal feed rate. |
| TROUBLE SHOOTING
Pick up or gall on the sides of the blade will be indicated by tearing marks on the feed lines in the stock and also a clicking noise corresponding to the revolution of the blade. The main reason for these conditions are as follows:
Crooked cuts can be caused by the following signs:
